Tuition is billed automatically on the 1st of each month to the credit card on file. Your card details will be collected upon request after enrollment.
Payment Arrangements
If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please reach out to Shira directly at shiraspianoschool@gmail.com or WhatsApp 862-812-9288 before the due date. We are always happy to work something out when we know in advance.
Late Payments
Payments not received by the 15th of the month without prior communication will be considered late. A $15 late fee will be added to the following month’s invoice. If payment is not received within 30 days and no arrangement has been made, the student’s spot may be released.
We believe that music education is not a luxury — it is something that can truly change your daughter’s life. Our commitment is to make this as accessible as possible while ensuring the program remains sustainable. Please never hesitate to reach out if you are going through a difficult time.
Enrollment Deposit
The $250 enrollment deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. It secures your daughter’s spot and goes toward the first month of tuition.
Reserved Seat Policy
Monthly tuition reflects a reserved seat in a structured group program, not individual lesson attendance. When a student enrolls, Shira’s Music School plans its class structure, group size, and scheduling around that student’s commitment. A seat is held exclusively for your daughter and, where necessary, other students may be turned away to maintain small class sizes.
Cancellation Policy
If a parent chooses to withdraw their daughter from the program, tuition for the current month will not be refunded. Future monthly payments will be stopped with no additional penalties or credits.
How to Cancel
To cancel enrollment, a parent or guardian must notify Shira in writing via email to shiraspianoschool@gmail.com or WhatsApp or Text to 862-812-9288. The cancellation date is the date the written notice is received. Verbal notice does not constitute cancellation.
Tuition is non-refundable for missed lessons. If a lesson needs to be missed, parents must notify Shira at least 24 hours in advance via email to shiraspianoschool@gmail.com or WhatsApp to 862-812-9288. Lessons missed without prior notification are not eligible for any credit or accommodation.
Students are welcome to join Shira’s Music School at any point during the school year, subject to availability.
The Process
- Complete the enrollment form
- Submit the $250 deposit to secure your daughter’s spot
- Shira will assess your daughter’s level and place her in the most suitable group
For Complete Beginners Joining Mid-Year
A complete beginner joining mid-year will need some foundational work before joining a group class.
There are two paths:
- Private lessons first: your daughter will begin with 1-on-1 lessons at $80/session until Shira determines she is ready to join a group class.
- New beginners group: if there are at least 3 complete beginners at a similar stage, a new beginners class will be formed.
The path will be determined at the Discovery Session based on availability and your daughter’s starting point.
Shira’s Music School holds two recitals per year — one in December and one in June. Three weeks before each recital, families will receive a poll to help select the best date. Once the date is confirmed it is final. The recital is an important part of your daughter’s musical journey and we ask that you make it a priority once the date is set.
Class updates, schedules, and important announcements are shared via WhatsApp group. By enrolling your daughter you agree to be added to your daughter’s class group.
